The Way we are

Only the positive and self confident make things happen.  The negative mindlessly go with the flow following the herd.
Negative people are always aware of every reason for not doing a positive thing, thus never getting anywhere or accomplishing anything.

Providence opens ways to reach for and obtain what one needs, but does not deliver them into one’s lap.

Alexander Sikorsky of Helicopter fame, would not employ anyone who already knew what could not be done.  He had the following
prominently displayed in all his workshops.

“In accordance with known aeronautics, the Bumble Bee with its body mass in relation to its wingspan cannot fly.   The Bumble Bee does not
know this so it goes ahead and flies anyway.  The difference is the measure of one’s will.

The negative use the word “impossible” as an excuse to give up.   The “impossible” being the point in effort for the negative and lazy to give
up on positive effort.  Going Forward.  We all seek the truth.  I have spent a lifetime of enquiry and thought seeking answers to four
questions that have probably been asked by every thinking human.

                       Who and what are we?
Why are we here, are we here for a purpose?
How do we function best while we are here?
Where do we go when we move on at the end of life on Earth?

This is not offered as an avenue of escape from boredom.  It offers no vicarious pleasure to lose yourself in the fortunes of fictional characters.
Presented as suggestions and observations for growth, it prompts readers to look beyond what the less perceptive see, to enquire beyond
what the unthinking will not try to understand.  To go deeper and further, to stimulate thought, prompt positive enquiry and even suggest
    your own.

I did not dwell on this material these many years to offer more imponderables to add to the seldom read billions of reading matter that fill
bookshelves.  In the absence of opposing views, I had little choice but to rest with my own reasoning.  Please do feel free to question.  To
think about and hopefully improve on my views.   It needs strong wills and perceptive minds not to follow blindly.  We are often conditioned
into the assumption that if it is in print it is believable.  I trust you will not.  I urge my readers to question every statement and refuse to
accept any observation until its reasoning is acceptable.

This is a different view of the many aspects of life and its realities.  What we can each achieve if strong enough to think for ourselves and
apply ourselves to develop pathways aimed at desired objectives.  If any of the contents raises concerns or adverse reactions, please follow
your own reasoning and rest with your conclusions.

Feel free to contribute your own ideas and reactions via email or through the forum.  Feel free to record your comments, to question my
observations and conclusions, even to add your own.   A large vocabulary in whatever language you think and the fearless freedom to be
willing to consider the new is essential to support your reasoning and a grasp of the unusual leading to your understanding of these words.
Life is a matter of choices.

The years do not enfeeble us.  We age ourselves with the debilitating choices and excesses we live with.    Readdress your choices and stop the
excesses that age you.  Stay youthful in outlook and activity longer.  Be curious about the new, the strange, even the seemingly impossible.
Seek answers; question everything up to your last breath.  Strengthen your ability and freedom to care, to share, to think, to speak, to act, to
dare to be YOU, unpretentious and natural, internally and externally sincere, sensitive, respectful and above all, self-responsible.

Go After what you want.  Make the World beat a path to your door.  Position yourself to function at your best.   Slow your physical decline,
extend your youth, marshal your capabilities.  Free yourself of crutches, millstones, weakness, negatives, repressive norms and subjective
outlooks.   Open your mind and spirit.  Determine your direction.   Focus on your future.   Select positive objectives.   Make each day yours
    to control.   Fly.

Curiosity, fear, dire needs and sometimes anger are probably the prime motivators for action, triggering every change, development and
upheaval in our world.  It is the way we have functioned throughout our evolutionary history.  They have brought about the expansion of
our minds and the enlargement of our vision and interests beyond the limitations of our self-selective, materialistic existence and, ego driven
    conflicts.

The society we live in has adopted a code of conduct that dictates our outlook and behavior.  Though a self-protective measure, it demands
that we all conform to a common form of lifestyle and interaction.   The fault with that code is that it discourages individual thought,
questioning and conclusion to establish herds of unimaginative robot like creatures.

Life is what we make it.  If many of us had known what we know now or will after reading all this, we would probably not be following the
    direction we have chosen.

We must first accept the premise that Nature cannot be gainsaid.   Nature is totally logical and impartial.  Making no difference between the
tiniest fragment of matter, to whole oceans.  We are not alone.  We live among a fast escalating population in a world progressing forward at
an accelerating pace.  Subject to a multitude of events, some good, some bad, some big, some small, we involuntarily react or respond without
stopping to think of the consequences.

The mortal self, the body is the most vulnerable.  Prone to accident, disease, discomfort and ill treatment, indirectly affecting the immortal self,
the mind/spirit. In turn subject to the effects of looks, words and rejections or acceptances, whether adverse or  kindly.  It is how we respond
or react to events that sets in motion a progression of other events, sometimes even continuing through our entire lifetime to cause terminal
    conditions.

There are too many pitfalls and traps aimed at the unwary.    Self-responsibility is the key.  It saves both young and old  from such dangers,
Responsibility leaves no room for dependence upon ideologies and other services, not even to fall back on Karma, Fate or God.   Following the
suggestions in this book, readers will I trust position themselves safe from jeopardy, free to reach out, even to the seemingly impossible.
We can resist our vulnerability.  We are just a composition of matter in the Universe where there is only a finite quantity of it with a finite
quantity of energy.  When acted on, matter turning into energy then dissipating through activity to turn back.

The main source of energy being the Sun.   The planets in the Zodiac move in fixed speeds and configurations to create good or bad vibes to
influence our environment and our responses.   The planets in accordance with their strengths form powerful configurations to force the
energy coming from space to make life aspects that make us react.  The good and bad in our lives are the follow-up to our reactions.  If we can
control our reactions, we can determine our lives.

With a host of external influences to contend with, it is a wonder how we survive our environment.   A few resist their vulnerability and
even avoid it.   Not so the millions helplessly vulnerable to famine, deficiency, ill health, flood, earthquake and hurricane, most of whom are
among the poorest in the world.   Is mother nature, in her efforts to correct the harm we are doing to the Earth our home, trying to restore
the ecological balance of regions, leaving millions worse off than they were before?

Here is a brief picture of how we can each develop and function best in spite of the constant changes around us.   We are all incomparably
unique at birth, with dynamic talents, aptitudes and special characteristics in form and features all our own, no weakness.   We acquire our
weaknesses later at the knees and through the brainwashing of the adults around us, their inhibitions, their prejudices, hates, dislikes,
outlooks, attitudes and often even their allergies, allowing them to run our lives and change us from the unique to the dull and ordinary.

Echoing others proves our inability to think for ourselves.  Only self-directed thinking can free the weak and insecure to reach out for
happiness, NOT books, counselors, ritual or ideologies.  No one is less intelligent than another; the difference is in exposure and the
exercising of minds.  We can fire up the inherent power of our minds and intuition to become extra cognitive.   We need to limit the impact of
forces outside our control like time and weather.  Nothing else in the Universe can control us unless we allow them.
Addictions, attachments, attractions, obligations, traumatic memories, dependence, mindless reaction to events, wrong beliefs, ritual and
norms affect our thinking, our freedom and independence, making us weak in common with others.

We must regain the unique qualities of our bodies, minds and wills to dare the heights. Invest our strengths in original ways to satisfy
needs.   Recognize what each does best.  Develop our individual medium of self-expression and create satisfying careers and interests we can
    tirelessly enjoy.

Be ready for change, unafraid to meet and overcome any challenge.  Happiness is the freedom and ability to follow one’s inclination at will.
Dependability in others is an essential need but we must each find and distance the undependable.
Worry dwells on the effect, only making it worse.  Thought goes after the answer.   There are no certainties, only possibilities and
probabilities, no unsolvable problems, only unrecognized solutions.  Determine your desires.  Visualize them as fulfilled pictures and focus
your mind on their achievement to make them materialize, doing what needs to be done to make it happen.

Humility is not servility, it acknowledges another’s value.  An understanding heart and patient ear can make another feel ten feet tall.
Mutual respect and harmony is natural to the unpretentious, the sincere, sensitive, caring, self-responsible and self-reliant.  Overcome
negatives and distance others who are.
Hopes and expectations leave us open to disappointment.  Power, position, prestige and possessions merely offer transitory satisfaction but
bring unnecessary problems, NOT lasting success or happiness.
